By Peter Estenoz

Key West Florida is one of the great places to hold a low key wedding ceremony that is both romantic and intimate and also to go for a honeymoon. It is a warm place to escape to during winter and has many romantic locations where a great small wedding can be held. Couples are offered many deals here with most going for the all inclusive that takes care of the ceremony together with the celebrations and honeymoon.

First things first, when planning for a ceremony here, there are some legal matters that have to be taken care of first. A marriage license should be issued to the couple by Monroe County or any other county in the state of Florida. To obtain this license, a photo identification is a must. It not a must though that the couple should be from Florida but those that reside there, will have to wait for their license for a period of 3 days and valid for 60 days.

There are a number of locations available, both traditional and non traditional. Traditional venues include places like churches, or a beach, garden or park setting. The non traditional venues are places like Key Largo where couples can have an underwater ceremony.

A chartered diving company can put together a ceremony to take place at Gulf of Mexico in crystal blue waters, or have the wedding on the beach surrounded by beautiful white sands and palm trees!

If a couple does not want to have the usual huge after parties, they can instead choose to have a simple intimate dinner. Dinners offered here vary in terms of style and price. Caribbean or Cuban dishes as well as fresh seafood are among the delicacies that are prepared in most restaurants. Other options include a combination of boat and limo rides and private beach chair celebrations.

It is hard for couples there for their elopement not to want to hang around a few more days for their honeymoon and enjoy all these exciting things this place has to offer. These include many enjoyable activities like the underwater adventures and shared spa momentous experiences. There is also the Crane as well as the natural history museums option where newlyweds can have a tour. These places have great natural surroundings and rich historic sites. For instance the Crane Museum in Marathon Key, is situated where an ancient Indian village once was.

Couples that have been dreaming of one day swimming with dolphins can do so at the dolphin research center. This place also has secluded spots where couples can go via ferry to just lay back and have a relaxing moment. Among the things that are covered at Key West, Florida are body massages, luxurious accommodations and gourmet dining.
